Dr. Roberto C. López Konschot is a plastic surgeon based full-time in Los Cabos, providing aesthetic and reconstructive plastic surgery for patients from Mexico, the United States, Canada, and around the world.

A Surgeon's Path
Dr. López Konschot began his medical education at the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México (UNAM). His training also included a year of medical service in a small Mayan community in the Yucatán Peninsula, where he was often the only physician for miles.
It was an experience that helped shape an important principle that remains central to his practice today: medicine begins with listening.
He went on to complete four years of general surgery in the ISSSTE hospital system, followed by his residency in plastic and reconstructive surgery at Hospital General “Dr. Manuel Gea González” in Mexico City.
There, he trained under Dr. Fernando Ortiz Monasterio, internationally recognized as one of the pioneers of modern craniofacial surgery, and Dr. Fernando Molina.
Dr. López Konschot subsequently completed two additional years of subspecialty training in craniofacial surgery and facial aesthetics, further developing the precision, three-dimensional understanding of anatomy, and attention to detail that continue to influence his approach to both aesthetic and reconstructive surgery.
His training established principles that have remained constant throughout his career: surgical precision, patient safety, individualized treatment, and honest medical judgment.
Why Cabo — A Personal Choice
Los Cabos was not simply where Dr. López Konschot decided to establish a practice. It became the place he chose to call home.

Dr. López Konschot remains actively engaged in continuing medical education, participating regularly in international and national specialty meetings, including the AMCPER Annual International Congress in Mexico, the IMCAS World Congress in Paris, Vegas Cosmetic Surgery & Dermatology (VCS) in Las Vegas, and educational programs of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons (ASPS).

For this reason, we do not publish patient before-and-after photographs on our website or social media, even when images could be shared with permission.
We believe that a patient’s decision to undergo plastic surgery—and the photographs documenting that care—deserves the same discretion and confidentiality as other aspects of their medical care.
When appropriate, representative results may be reviewed privately during your in-office consultation. This allows Dr. López Konschot to discuss outcomes relevant to the procedure you are considering while respecting the privacy of the patients who have entrusted us with their care.
